Half the cars. Half the costs. Half the carbon.
Commuters and community healthcare providers video:
Developing a new service is difficult because demand for it has already been met, by people using private cars. A new service needs to be provided before it can be used so there is a transition period during which the new service exists at the same time as the original number of cars, and this increases overall costs. The financial risk associated with this transition currently lies with transport providers and is a barrier to them developing new services. But it is the users of the new service that will benefit financially by owning fewer cars. Car compatible is working to shift the financial risk of a new service from providers and distribute it to users. People will be able to integrate the future savings from owning fewer cars with the finances of a new service that made it possible to own fewer cars.
